I really enjoy working with handmade cold porcelain clay UNTIL my works crack/deform on me when they dry:iconraegplz:

So instead of continuing to waste time/money trying to deal with this supposedly inexpensive alternative, I've gone back to using sculpey clay.

The whole reason why I switched from sculpey in the first place is because (1) wth $2 per block? (2) clean-up was treacherous (3) the whole your-oven-could-give-off-deadly-fumes thing was a turn-off (4) my hands would end up sore from trying to condition it.

However, the sculpey company has this new type of clay called Sculpey Bake Shop and....it's cool.

Already I've completed [yes, COMPLETED] three different objects and I gotta say Sculpey has won my heart again.
:bulletgreen: It's soft and requires almost no time to condition
:bulletgreen: Easy to blend so having limited colors isn't a big deal
:bulletgreen: Comes in a variety pack [for less than $10 with coupon *wink* ]
:bulletgreen: And of course it won't dry out on me after 5 minutes of exposure to air

The thing I like most about it may also be the one thing I don't like about it.  It's a little too soft, it's easily marked by the lightest bump or scratch.

But other than that I'm definitely enjoying it thus far. =)
